The BIG Climatic Manufactory, in collaboration with its contractor Raytec DGT, embarked on a pioneering project to enhance process automation within its operations. This ambitious initiative involved developing numerous specialized automated workstations, significantly improving operational efficiency.
As one of the first implementations of 1C:ERP in China, the project also included translating the interface into Chinese to accommodate the company's Chinese-speaking users, ensuring seamless integration and usability.

The BIG Climatic Manufactory is a significant player in the household and commercial climate equipment market, with an annual production volume reaching 1,500,000 units. Their extensive product line includes convectors, water heaters, fan heaters, air humidifiers, industrial fans, air purifiers, and hand dryers.
The BIG operates over 20,000 square meters of production facilities, equipped with metal welding, thermoplastic injection molding machines, multiple assembly production lines, and standardized operation process management. The company boasts professional laboratories and dozens of testing equipment, ensuring a complete process quality control system. 

Challenges

BIG Climatic Manufacturing aimed to transition from a basic Chinese ERP system, which was primarily used for warehouse management and simplified production operations. In pursuit of a more comprehensive solution, the company sought to implement a unified digital platform to drive production digitalization and create a cohesive information space for the factory.

Before the implementation, the company faced multiple challenges, such as:

Managing the end-to-end process chain efficiently 
Accurate warranty management
Real-time tracking of production outputs
Quality control of purchased materials

Eventually, the customer chose to implement 1С:ERP to address these challenges and the 1C Company’s certified partner Raytec DTG to implement this project in cooperation with the local Chinese joint venture partner Yellow Sun. Firstly, the solution allows for bilingual management, accommodating both the Chinese employees and the Russian-speaking management team. Additionally, a couple of BIG's key partners had successfully implemented 1С:ERP for managing their factories, demonstrating the system's effectiveness.

The 1С:ERP system also offers flexible managerial reporting tailored to China's national standards while aligning with the familiar accounting standards for the Russian-speaking management. Moreover, the availability of the Payroll&HR module addresses payroll calculation tasks, enhancing overall efficiency in managing employee compensation of Chinese manufactoring .

The BIG Climatic Manufactory plans to automate several key processes to further enhance operational efficiency and management capabilities. This includes implementing solutions for accurate time tracking and payroll calculation, which will ensure precise recording of working hours and automated payroll processing.

Streamlining the accounting processes for tracking income and expenses is also on the agenda, along with establishing comprehensive costing mechanisms to accurately determine the total cost of production.
