Automating financial planning with 1C:Perform | Askona

Challenges

Askona is a holding company specializing in the production of mattresses, beds, sofas and other products for healthy sleep. The company distributes and sells goods of its own production: its trade network includes more than 1000 stores and showrooms.

The data collection and distribution within the company was mostly performed using Excel sheets, which was getting more and more inconvenient, given the increasing amount of information from different stores and subsidiaries.

Another crucial issue concerned the absence of uniformity within the holding in terms of budgetary reports. Because of many inconsistencies, financial planning was hampered and required a lot of time and effort.

During the implementation, the following business processes were automated:

Data analysis and forecasting

Budgeting, financial planning

Data consolidation process

The system became fully operational on March 4, 2022

What was done during the 1C:Perform (formerly 1C:УХ) implementation:

Seamless integration with the corporate accounting systems has been set up;

Budgeting reports have been developed and put into commercial operation;

Integration with Excel has been added;

Financial planning data is now gathered through data collection forms;

The mechanisms for automated collecting of actual data from the accounting systems were set up;

The consolidation and comparison processes of intra-group turnovers have been configured.

Results

The implementation project allowed the company to get the following results:

Reduced labor costs and time for the preparation of budget reports and consolidated budgets;

Decreased time required to prepare the actual data for analytical reporting;

Increased data accuracy;

Diminished cash gaps when planning intragroup transactions;

More qualitative data is now provided to the company’s management within shorter periods of time.
